The Brief
The Kings Hotel approached us to redesign their restaurant which had become estranged from the local community & disenchanted the hotel patrons. Its sterile atmosphere lacked the character & warmth expected in a historic building of this caliber.
Our Solution
The restaurant has been transformed into a elegant but comfortable dining & socialising space with a unique edge. The history of the area has quite literally been put back into the design with lace patterned wallpaper, vintage tools and memorabilia adorning the walls & giving a subtle nod to the lace making heritage of the locality. The restaurant now works the entire way through the day and attracts an ever growing crowd.
The Result
A restaurant that holds its own away from the Hotel trade and is known as a destination for miles around. The Restaurant has a comfortable luxuriousness with a quirky charm that makes the most of its heritage in a modern & fun way.
