The Brief

Smithy Inns approached us to redesign the Lord Clifden, a friendly community pub which required modernisation and increased custom. It needed to attract passing trade to maximise its high street location, without compromising existing custom.

Our Solution

Walls were exposed throughout the space to produce a backdrop for a collection of urban art prints, and create unity between bar areas. The rear was transformed into a long stay area, with modern art, plush surroundings, and a food offering. This is also suitable for use as a night time bar and entertainment area. The front of house was reserved for passing trade, and kept as a traditional public bar for short visit customers, with sports viewing facilities.
