Flushing Money Down The Drain. Water Efficient Toilets Date: 28/12/2009
Water Efficient Toilets.
The toilet flush using a traditional bowl and cistern uses 9 litres of water per flush. For an average site using 250 flushes per day this works out to around £940 per year (for each and every toilet).
The water usage of a 2.8 litre flush cistern and toilet bowl (both widely available from numerous producers) for the same average usage site (using 250 flushes per day) costs around £425 per year for each toilet.
For each converted toilet within a site the owner will save around £515 per year. Well worth a look from a financial and environmental aspect.
It is important to note that all such expenditure on conforming products regards the Water Technology List, give 100% capital allowance relief of the spend to offset against profits of the site/company. Take advantage of this. If you need further details contact me through the site.
If you don’t want to pay out for capital investment and cash flow is tight, there is a very quick and efficient solution from Thomas Dudley in the west midlands.
The easily fitted, patented syphon, allows for a 2 stage flush of any traditional toilet you have already installed without the expense of changing the toilet furniture, bowl or the cistern. The syphon allows for a partial flush and a full flush to be available every time the toilet is flushed depending on whether or not the flush handle is held down. This allows water savings on partial flushes where a full flush is not required.
